The world’s top biathlon athletes are in Oslo right now to fight for medals in the Biathlon World Championships. The competitions will take place at Holmenkollen National Ski Arena, where exciting events have entertained enthusiastic skiing fans through 120 years.
As a historic landmark in the Norwegian consciousness, Holmenkollen embodies more than a century of skiing competitions.
Inside the ski jump, is the Holmenkollen Ski Museum, the oldest of its kind in the world. The museum presents over 4,000 years of skiing history, Norwegian polar exploration artifacts and an exhibition on snowboarding and modern skiing.The observation deck on top of the jump tower offers panoramic views of Oslo, coffee shops, shopping and a ski simulator – and it is open 365 days a year!
